| Community Respite Center, Inc., legally formed as a 501(c)3 in 1998, has since built a lifespan respite care center in Jackson Michigan - the Mark A. DeForest Lifespan Respite Center. In January of 2007, Community Respite Center merged with Potential Development Homes, another Jackson based non-profit, to become LifeSpan... A Community Service. CRC, a program of LifeSpan, began as a facility based respite center designed to give families caring for loved ones with special needs a break. Today, it has evolved and provides numerous services that support infants, children, adults and seniors. Respite allows families to: reduce stress, stay physically healthy, decrease the possibility of abusing or neglecting their loved one, and stay together as a family.
